Video: Unique Angle as Giakoumakis and Abada goals see off Alloa

Unique Angle: Alloa Athletic 1-2 Celtic – Giakoumakis & Abada help Bhoys progress in Scottish Cup…

Celtic did enough in the first half away at the rough-house of Alloa Athletic on Saturday evening to progress to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup and a home draw against Raith Rovers.  Two excellent goals from Giorgos  Giakoumakis and Liel Abada gave Celtic 2-1 victory although the winning margin should really have been much high, a fact that Ange Postecoglou himself bemoaned after the match.

Perhaps more concerning was a referee who is gaining a well kent reputation for his liberal approach to considering any heavy challenge on a Celtic player. Celtic have lost our captain Callum McGregor and are lucky to have escaped with further serious injuries to both Liel Abada and Yōsuke Ideguchi.

You’d think that Celtic should be raising the matter with the SFA this week. That’s how out it works is it not?

Anyway here are the two goals that knocked Alloa Athletic out of the Scottish Cup…
