There’s been so much said and written about Leigh Griffiths lately that it’s great to see him doing what he does best and sticking the ball in the back of the net.
Motherwell had started to show signs of life going forward, so the second goal is most welcome. In fairness the goal is mostly about great work from Callum McGregor, but the finish is also very smart:

It shows the difference between a top class striker and the rest in the league when you see how he takes the chance. Many would slash at it and possibly miss the target, but it’s never in doubt once he takes that touch.
This makes it four goals from his last six games, as he’s finally found his form at the ideal time.
