Video: Watch Celtic train at Lennoxtown ahead of St Johnstone match

As the Celtic supporters, team, and manager gear up for another away day fixture in Perthshire Sunday lunchtime, the club have posted their usual close-up footage of the first-team squad training ahead of our match against Callum Davidson’s men. The last time we visited the side who have won more major honours than the newest Ibrox entity was way back in October, with a Giorgos Giakoumakis injury time winner sending the faithful wild!

As last-gasp winners go, it was certainly up there with the best of them – as St Johnstone had just only been up the park beforehand to equalise in what would have been a tremendous blow to Ange Postecoglou and his Celtic side in their quest to make it two league title’s in quick succession.

St Johnstone always tend to put up a decent fight whenever they face-off against the Scottish Premiership Champions and tomorrow will likely be no different. Physically aggressive in the challenge and unwilling to grant any space at all, the Saints are similar to most sides we play these days.

The competition for places is good at the minute at Celtic Park and with our newest January recruits we are looking primed and ready for the title run-in. TheRangers are on a winning run of their own and we must stay vigilant in our pursuit of another domestic clean sweep. The harmony of this current group will be key and with external noise being removed due to the departure of certain players, we should be able to kick on now.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
