Video – Watch Edouard gives Celtic an early lead at Motherwell

ODSONNE EDOUARD gave league leaders Celtic an early lead in an exciting game at Fir Park this evening. Both teams have shown attacking intent and the Champions survived one or two early scares before the French talisman combined beautifully with Callum McGregor to open up the Motherwell defence, a deflection turned into a one-two and gave Edouard the chance to find the bottom corner.

A perfect start for Celtic but just moments later it could have been even better. Simunovic found Ntcham on the right and his low cross was perfect for Leigh Griffiths with the goal at his mercy. His right foot effort though was just too high much to the relief of Gillespie, the Motherwell goalkeeper.

Chances are coming at both ends but with joy over half an hour played Celtic are one goal to the good, thanks to the class of Odsonne Edouard. Oh and the score at Ibrox at the moment – the Rangers 0 Hibs 1.
