Celtic are gearing up for yet another match-up with David Martindale’s Livingston side tonight at Celtic Park once again and the Hoops supporters will be hoping for a better showing than the one we played out last year, just befoe Christmas.
It was an awful night weather-wise on the 21 December when we had to overcome a really horrible opponent and tonight doesn’t look like being much better in all honesty. Despite the rain, Hoops fans will be praying that the team put in a totally different performance than the last meeting between these two as it made for brutal viewing.
Jota seems to have found his form once again, which is welcome as it is timely as we head into the business end of the season and games coming thick and fast on the calendar. Last time out he had a poor game against the West Lothian club and he was hooked by Ange Postecoglou on the night. He will be hoping to rectify that no doubt.
The Hoops trained at their training ground complex at Lennoxtown this week to get into the zone for our fixture later this evening. Most of the players will be used to the Scottish weather by now and those who have just joined will need to get used to it. This tempestuous relationship that the rain has with Scottish football isn’t going to give anytime soon by the looks of it!
Hopefully we can overcome this obstacle along with David Martindale’s terrible tactical set-up tonight.
Meanwhile, watch the team train ahead of our match later…
