Video: What to expect from Celtic defensive target Maik Nawrocki

Celtic are reportedly targeting Maik Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw as Brendan Rodgers looks to improve the squad. After the pre-season match against Yokohama F Marinos, Rodgers was left with a depleted backline due to injuries, meaning that he will certainly be looking to sign a defender or two.

The 22-year-old is attracting interest from across Europe with Celtic cited as having an interest in the versatile defender. However, little is known about him but thanks to Twitter, we are able to see a highlights package put together that shows the quality of the player.

Celtic have signed well from the Polish club in the past with the signings of Artur Boruc in 2005 then Josip Juranovic in 2021.

Celtic have already signed Marco Tilio and Odin Thiago Holm whilst Yang Hyun-Jan has arrived in the UK as he looks to complete his £2.1m deal from Gangwon. Celtic are also due to sign Hyun-Jan’s compatriot Kwon Hyeok-kyu in a deal worth £1m.

I will translate as best I can so that no other eyes have to bleed like mine just did: “Hope he (BR) signs two defenders on their radar, our derby foe (theRangers) have been signing class players as according to the Scottish mainstream media theRangers always sign the best players, even though those players can’t get a game with their last club, but somehow are on freedom of contract.”

      You’re welcome!
