Videos from the back row at Pittodrie, watching Glasgow Celtic putting on a show

Well that was an eventful and it has to be said a significant night at Pittodrie as Celtic emerged with a 3-2 win despite a spirited Aberdeen fightback in the second half. It’s maybe worth noting that we don’t have to go back to Pittodrie – unless there is some real skullduggery on the post split fixtures and we can’t entirely rule that out – but theRangers should have to play up there again.

Having come through games against Hibs (H), Hearts (A), Dundee United (H), theRangers (H), Motherwell (A) and Aberdeen (A) with maximum 18 points for 6 Premiership wins in 2022, Celtic now have a break for the Scottish Cup then are back with a run of fixtures that on paper at least look less challenging than that opening half dozen fixtures in the new year.

We have Dundee (H), Hibs (A), St Mirren (H), Livingston (A), Ross County (H) theRangers (A) and St Johnstone (H) ahead of the split. The three away games stand out as the tough but no harder than the three we have just won, although we really do need to find a way to beat Livingston and that might be a mission for Giorgos Giakoumakis.

Last night I was situated on the very back row at the far corner of Pittodrie, there’s no roof overhead there and there’s nothing behind you expect the wind coming in from the North Sea. Acting as a wind-break for the rest of the Celtic support was our lot for the night and that’s the only time I’ve ever been to a game when your back feels like it is icing over!

Then there were roadworks down at the Harbour meaning that the traffic jam was massive and it took well over an hour to get past there and moving towards the road home. Not that anyone was too bothered!
