Vote Now on Mikael Lustig’s future at Celtic and send a message to Peter Lawwell

MIKAEL LUSTIG is hopeful that his season is not over after he pulled up in the 90th minute in yesterday’s title win at Pittodrie. He spoke to Celtic TV after the 3-0, where of course he got the all important first goal just a few minutes after Aberdeen had their best opportunity of the afternoon to take the lead.

Lustig mentioned the fact that he made his debut at Pittodrie and noted that he’s been here for every step of the way towards 8 in a row.

“My first title was really special, this one is even more special. I’m really happy,” the Swedish full back said.

Scott Brown praised Lustig in his post match interviews and Neil Lennon did the same when speaking to the tv guys after the game. Broony also pointed out that when Rodgers left Lustig joined the club captain in steadying the ship in the dressing room. What price loyalty, Peter?

Sandman in his Player Ratings on The Celtic Star – and the naughtier version that always appears on Celtic Noise forum – has for many weeks been going on about how Lustig is harshly treated by our support and currently by the club who have yet to confirm his contract extension for next season.

It’s not a one year extension he deserves it’s a new TWO year deal to keep him here for Ten in a Row!

Let’s see what The Celtic support are thinking about Mikael Lustig’s Celtic future. No-one can say that he has not been patient as the club have apparently stalled on making a decision about Mika’s future and he has never once shown any discontent not have any toys been thrown out of the pram.

So should Celtic allow his contract to run down, forget about the one year extension option they have and simply let him return to Sweden after the Cup Final?

Or should the club activate the one year option that they have to keep him here next season?

Or should, as suggested above, the club offer Lustig a two year deal to keep him here for the chance to win Ten in a Row alongside Broony and wee Jamesy?
