Watch: Lennon Reflects on Hibs Win, Raves about Celtic Star

Neil Lennon spoke to Celtic TV after his side bounced back from the dead rubber defeat in Romanian against Cluj, to beat Hibs 2-0.

Goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard were enough to seal victory for the Scottish Champions as they regained their two point lead at the top of the SPFL table.

Celtic had kicked off knowing that a win would restore their lead after Rangers beat Motherwell 2-0 in the early kick off today.

Jeremie Frimpong was praised by the manager after his first goal at Celtic Park gave the League Cup winners 2019 the lead. His energetic performance was full of positives and the new 3-5-2 formation utilised in the game gave him the ability to get forward with more freedom, whilst still giving him certain defensive duties.

The manager, however, did bemoan the fact that the Celts didn’t score more goals on the day; albeit Lennon was satisfied that they got a good result against a Hibs side that dispatched Aberdeen 3-0 last week.
