We planned for a tough day, but it ended up a stroll in the park…

Tynecastle can be a pretty hard place for us to visit and today I wasn’t expecting anything different, but in the end it turned out to be a stroll in the park. A decent surface, I may add, something you don’t normally associate with the Tynecastle, well Craig Levein has left the club so we shouldn’t be that surprised.

Hearts were poor it has to be said, but you can only beat what’s in front of you and that’s what we did, with relative ease. Matt O’Riley continued his good form with an absolute peach of a goal to open the scoring. It was superbly taken by the midfield man, but hats off also to Luis Palma for the sublime pass.

Daizen Maeda, Kyogo and Tomoki Iwata also got in on the scoring, and in the end the scoreline rather flattered the Gorgie side. Reo Hatate was superb despite missing a penalty and he looks like he’s back on top form.

It was hard to pick a real outstanding player as every single one of them were superb and made it look all so easy. I’d expect the same side to start on Wednesday against Atletico Madrid although Iwata has certainly give the manager something to think about.

Let’s hope they perform just as good, although it’s safe to say we won’t be getting it as easy as we did today.
