Women’s Scottish Cup Draw – Perfect for Celtic, tough for the Rangers

Celtic FC Women have been drawn away from home against Montrose in the quarter-finals of the Women’s Scottish Cup. The tie of the round and one to keep an eye on is certainly Hibs vs theRangers, with Partick Thistle vs Hearts also promising to be an exciting clash. The quarter-final ties will take place on Sunday, 10th March. Hibs incidentally knocked out Glasgow City yesterday in a penalty shoot-out.

Eilidh Barbour was joined by the Scottish National Team record-goalscorer Julie Fleeting today at Hampden Park to conduct the draw. On Sunday, Celtic scored six at New Douglas Park, knocking Hamilton Accies out of the competition and earning their place in today’s draw.

Celtic will be happy with their quarter final opponent, as we have faced Montrose twice this season and scored nine goals both times. We’ll be looking for another dominant victory when we travel to Montrose in March.
