“You can’t buy loyalty. What a man,” Joe Hart praises Jamesy

Joe Hart turned to Instagram to send praise to his Celtic teammate James Forrest for his stunning performance against Hibernian on Saturday as the 31 year-old Celtic winger became a Celtic goalscoring Centurion. Forrest went into the game on 97 goals so as he netted three goals for the Hoops in the 6-1 demolition of Hibs, he reached the landmark one hundred goals for the club, joining 29 other former players who have received this total.

Forrest’s fabulous performances has allowing him to enter into the history books and this was also the first hat trick Forrest has scored for the Bhoys since 2018.

While Forrest hasn’t seen as much game time in recent seasons as he may have hoped due to the signings of Jota and Maeda, he still has an important part to play in the Celtic squad.

If nothing else, Forrest’s performance on Saturday was him showing everyone he is still here, still hungry to play and still has something to add to Ange Postecoglou’s side. The winger’s contract is set to expire in 2025, so he still has some time to rack up a few more goals for Celtic and engrave his name into the history books as a Celtic legend.
