“You’ll always be second best” – Celtic click then Tommy Sheridan sends Cincinnati Kid message to the Rangers

We have already dipped into Celtic Twitter to see how the mood had changed after Celtic clicked into top gear this afternoon against a decent Hibs side who are clearly the third force in Scottish football this season.

Earlier in the week Tommy Sheridan wrote for The Celtic Star, encouraging the support to get behind Neil Lennon, his captain Scott Brown and the rest of the Celtic squad as they target the magical ten. Tommy has been back in touch this evening to give us his own thoughts on a much more impressive Celtic performance against a side that caused the Rangers so many problems just last weekend in their 2-2 draw.

Here’s what Tommy had to say: “A thoroughly professional and dominant performance from Celtic today. Heroes all across the pitch. Broony was immense. Jeremy was unplayable. Christie was superb. Moi had his best game for months. Turnbull showed his class and mouthwatering potential. And a special mention for Greg Taylor. His best game in a Celtic Jersey for me.

“Well done to everyone on the pitch and to Lenny and his coaching staff. Eight games, seven victories, one draw. Hopefully the negative voices will be drowned out now. Onwards and upwards.

“After watching both games I’m reminded of the Edward G Robinson quote in the wonderful The Cincinnati Kid movie: “Your good kid, your good. But while I’m in town you’ll always be second best”.

“Here we go 10 in a row!” Tommy Sheridan added.
