Youngster Adam Montgomery had signed a new deal with Celtic, coinciding with being named on the bench for John Kennedy’s first game in charge as interim manager. The forward first agreed a contract with the club in July 2019 but has now extended his deal fo the summer of 2025.
Montgomery will be hoping that he can make his first team debut today as Kennedy looks to progress the youngster into the first team at just 18-years-old. Kennedy himself made his debut at 16 and he will know the pressures of making your debut at a youngster.

It is notable that Montgomery is named on the bench whilst Armstrong Oxo-Flex and Karamoko Dembele are left out as the pair appear ready to depart the club in the summer.
It is reassuring to see a young talent sign a deal when the club have been so poor at retaining stars, seeing teams like Bayern Munich and Manchester City luring them away.
