£2m Celtic flop has an offer to leave Glasgow once play starts again

Something didn’t seem right about the signing of Marian Shved, with Brendan Rodgers never sounding truly convinced about the signing.

A report from The Scotsman when he signed suggested that Rodgers had nothing to do with his signing, before he was immediately loaned out.

In fairness he’s never had a real run of games to show what he can do, but you would be hard pushed to say he’s blown everyone away when given a chance either.

He looks a long way away from being a first team regular, so he seemed like a prime candidate to move on this Summer, and it does sound like he will leave when he gets the chance.

As reported by The Sun,  Ukrainian side Oleksandriya have made an offer to sign him on loan once play starts up again. They also state he’s only made three appearances under Neil Lennon since making the £2m switch, so clearly he needs to do something to help his career.

At this point it’s not clear if this loan move would include an option to buy or if he’s keen to go, but it certainly looks like a good move to make.

If he goes home and impresses then he could force Lenny to give him another chance, or the worst case scenario would at least see Celtic manage to get a reasonable fee for him when he does leave.

It’s a shame things haven’t worked out for him so far, but Celtic’s policy of taking a chance on promising youngsters will always result in some mistakes.
