£5m-rated winger is priority for Neil Lennon in January, says report

NEIL LENNON has apparently made a deal for Bright Osayi-Samuel a priority for the upcoming January transfer window. The attacker has just a few months remaining on his deal at Loftus Road and The Daily Mail claim that Mark Warburton may be tempted to cash in on the winger with him free to agree a pre-contract in January.

The 22-year-old was the subject of a £5m bid from Club Brugge and despite Mark Warburton accepting the offer, the player decided to reject the chance to move to the Juniper League. The Loftus Road side may be willing to strike a deal now that would get them some value in the player – who would be free to sign terms with the Scottish Champions in January on a pre-contract basis.

Crystal Palace are also believed to be keen on the winger and a deal would include a loan back facility to Warburton’s QPR. However, Celtic’s Head of Recruitment Gary Penrice has ties with the London club and may be able to help influence a deal with the player.

Celtic’s other main targets in the January window will surely be a goalkeeper and a right back as they plan on mounting a recovery against Rangers to win the SPFL Premiership for a tenth successive season.
