A Taste of Paradise for Ange Postecoglou’s wife Georgia and his kids Max and Alexi

Ange Postecoglou’s wife Georgia and his weans Max and Alexi were at Paradise last night to see hat all the fuss is about and they certainly got the chance to experience and marvel at what a brilliant place Celtic Park is for their man to be working. “The emotion was incredible,” Ange reflected shortly after it was all over and Celtic had a 7-2 aggregate win secured.

“I guess both on the park and more importantly, off the park. The fans created something special. We started really well, we fed off the energy in the stadium and created some good chances and scored a goal.

“We lost our way a little bit, but second half we picked it up again and it was a real good job. It’s part of who we want to be. We’ve got to be a team who shows no fear, tries to play our football and dictate the game.

“It’s not easy to do to be fair, and I do put a lot of responsibility and expectation on the players to do that.
But the other side of it is you get great rewards if you’re prepared to be brave. These last few games we’ve got great rewards from it,” Ange added.

The Australian Stein was purring about the performances from his midfield in the 3-0 win Europa League win over Jablonec with Rogic, Turnbull and McGregor all valid candidates for the Man of the Match, which was awarded to Turnbull for his two excellent goals. “Tommy was outstanding tonight, both on and off the ball. David’s been great. I think he gets a bit hard on himself if he doesn’t score, so for him to get a couple of goals tonight is super for him. And Callum is just a great orchestrator in there, and understands what we need and the tempo we need,” a pleased Postecoglou stated.

Two great saves from a Celtic goalkeeper were celebrated likes goals scored for Celtic by a support so used to inadequate goalkeeping performances. On Joe Hart, the Celtic gaffer had this to say: “He’s a top quality goalkeeper and he was there when we needed him tonight. He’s very motivated to have success,” Ange noted.
