Adam Idah named in Irish squad, joined by ex-Celtic attackers

Celtic striker Adam Idah has been named in the Irish squad for their forthcoming doubleheader against Bulgaria. The centre forward will be eager to start under Heimir Hallgrímsson in the Nations League clashes as he looks to hit a purple patch for the run in.

Idah will be hoping to impact the UEFA Nations League Play Offs with some goal contributions for his country.

Idah has scored 14 and assisted once in 42 appearances for Celtic this season. The big forward will be hoping to have an impact this weekend as Celtic host Rangers before the International Break. The Scottish Champions need three wins to retain their title and will be hoping to close in on that feat with three points on Sunday.

Also included in the squad are Championship attackers, Rocco Vata and Mikey Johnstone – who left Celtic last summer. The players will be enjoying the move from Celtic, even if it’s a level down, because of the regular first team football.
