Matt Law, Football News Correspondent for The Telegraph, exclusively revealed the story following Postecoglou’s 18th Premier League loss of the campaign – a defeat to Champions League hopefuls Nottingham Forest, led by former Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday evening.

Although securing an impressive 1-0 victory in Germany over Eintracht Frankfurt last Thursday, which booked a semi-final clash with Bodo/Glimt next week, the report indicates that even a triumph in the competition might not be enough to prevent the 59-year-old manager from parting ways with the club this summer.
According to the article, sources indicate that one of Postecoglou’s close allies at the club, chief football officer and fellow Aussie Scott Munn, is set to depart the club. Additionally, Spurs have confirmed that former Arsenal CEO Vinai Venkatesham will be joining the club this summer.

Law’s exclusive also names Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola as possible successors, with Iraola having been previously linked to Celtic in the summer of 2023 before joining the Cherries.

Ange Postecoglou earned his move to North London after two trophy-laden seasons at Celtic, stepping in to the role after Neil Lennon’s departure in 2021. In his debut campaign, he clinched a Scottish Premiership and League Cup double, before completing a treble in his second season just before leaving the club.
He was praised for introducing a dynamic, attack-focused style of play to the Hoops following a disastrous season the year prior, and for bringing in modern-day heroes like Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, and Daizen Maeda, after his time in Japan with J League team Yokohama F Marinos.
Before his managerial move to Japan in 2018, Postecoglou spent four years at the helm of Australia’s national team, managing the Socceroos from 2013 to 2017. If he does leave Spurs this summer it will be interesting to see where his next club will be.
