Ange Postecoglou has given an update to the fans before his side enter battle with German outfit Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night under the lights at Celtic Park.
Injuries continue to plague the club, with Christopher Jullien, Greg Taylor and James Forrest out for the long-term.
But with Callum McGregor and new bhoy Josip Juranovic picking up injuries of recent, Ange will silently be hoping for a slice of good fortune at home to the German giants – he spoke to Celtic’s official website.
After the weekend’s game, Josip (Juranovic) is out with his hamstring and he’ll go into rehab for a couple of weeks,” Ange said.
Callum (McGregor), Kyogo (Furuhashi) and Giorgos (Giakoumakis) trained today but I’m not sure about tomorrow yet.
I don’t expect to make too many changes tomorrow night.”
Ange acknowledged the test that Thursday’s opponents will conjure up.
Sitting second in the German Bundesliga, Bayer pose a very, very different threat to the one that Dundee United showed on Saturday.
We are looking forward to tomorrow night, they are a very good team.
In front of our fans at Celtic Park, it’s a great night for us to test ourselves.
We want to take it to them, we are going to get tested.
Hopefully it is a great game of football for our supporters to get excited about.”
