Another Celtic shirt seen at Qatar World Cup 2022

After witnessing the Celtic brand stretching far and wide last night during the Wales v USA game on ITV, there has been another photo of a Celtic supporter emerge from the Senegal and Netherlands fixture. It’s quite remarkable really seeing how popular Celtic FC is as a sporting entity, with the shirts appearing at two very odd games.

Virgil van Dijk captained the Dutch to a 2-0 win over a Senegal that was chronically in need of talisman Sadio Mane. Goals from the highly courted Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen was enough for Virgil and his cohorts to get Holland’s first three points on the board. The ex-Celtic defender will be looking to go far into the competition with his country this time around, after some disappointing times of late with the Dutch national team.

After the Hoops were working the brand Down Under in an Ange Postecoglou Homecoming gig, the manager spoke about the need to expand this unique and special brand across the globe to help aid the footballing operation. It seems we finally have somebody clued up about the advantages we must gain to compete with the richest leagues in the world.

If they are this present in Qatar, there really should be untapped markets that we should be exploring more to enhance the club.

Have a look at this.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
