Kyogo needs to be replaced and Kvistgaarden is exactly the type of player we should be targeting…

With the departure of Kyogo Furuhashi almost imminent we must face up to the reality of losing such a quality player, and make strides towards filling that void.
We may be boosted by the likely return of Jota, and while the Portuguese is a talented player, his style of play very much differs from that of Kyogo.
Jota will strengthen our flanks

Jota will strengthen our flanks with his undoubted ability, but he isn’t a direct replacement for Kyogo who offers us a completely different dimension in the central role with his ability to stretch defenders whilst having a great eye for goal. Kyogo is very much the complete centre forward.
He may have been slightly off form by his own standards this season, but he was still a vital cog in our system, and his absence will only highlight this.
That’s why we must do what we can to replace him by bringing in a player of a similar ilk, and whilst that may prove difficult, there is a number of options for the club to consider.
Danish striker Mathias Kvistgaarden

One of those options is Danish striker Mathias Kvistgaarden, a player the club have had a keen interest in for quite some time.
The 22 year old Bronby striker is highly regarded, scoring 14 goals in 22 games already for the Danish side this season. Like Kyogo his game is not all about goals, and he has the ability to play across the front three with his pace and ability to stretch defences.
Any transfer would cost upwards in the region of £10 million, but we have the means to make that possible. Let’s hope we do just that.
