As Things Stand – Celtic’s Magnificent Seven lead over the Rangers

CELTIC as things stand are sitting a magnificent SEVEN points points ahead of the Rangers ahead of Sunday’s Glasgow Derby.

Goals from Callum McGregor and James Forrest have given Celtic a 2-0 lead at the Easy Digital Stadium in Paisley and the Champions and league leaders look well on their way to picking up the three points. A third goal early in the second half will allow Neil Lennon to look to his bench and withdraw the likes of Edouard, Christie and Forrest with the Glasgow Derby on mind.

Meanwhile over at Ibrox Steve Gerrard’s side are under considerable pressure at the moment sitting in their dressing room and hearing that the Champions are 2-0 ahead. They failed to score in the first half against a resolute Kilmarnock side and the prospect of dropping two points will add to the pressure the longer that game goes on.

The two Celtic gaols can be viewed below…

Callum McGregor opens the scoring…see HERE.

James Forrest makes it two…see HERE.

If the scores stay as they are in the second half Celtic will go into Sunday’s Glasgow Derby SEVEN points ahead of the Rangers and a win will finish off the year with a TEN point advantage. That would be a Beautiful Sunday right enough!
