Celtic face Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening in the UEFA Champions League Playoff second leg. The Scottish Champions were narrowly beaten by Vincent Kompany’s side, who benefited from a disallowed Celtic goal and the non-awarding of a penalty.

Brendan Rodgers’ side face an uphill battle to get a result against the Bundesliga leaders, who drew with current German Champions Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend.
Team News
Brendan has confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns within the group. Paulo Bernardo is not available after sustaining an ankle injury during the Scottish Cup win over Raith Rovers. The Celtic manager appeared to give some indication of his thoughts on the team in Bavaria when picking his Starting XI against Dundee United.

Kasper Schmeichel will start in goals. The Dane made a couple of big saves in the first leg and he will likely require a big performance at the Allianz. Auston Trusty and Cameron Carter-Vickers will start in the central defensive pairing with Alistair Johnston at right back. Bayern targeted Greg Taylor in the first half and the inclusion of Jeffrey Schlupp could certainly assist in keeping Olise at bay.

Callum McGregor will captain Celtic with Reo Hatate and Arne Engels in the middle of the park. In attack, expect Daizen Maeda to start through the middle with Jota on the wing and Nicolas Kühn looking to torment his former club. Adam Idah and Yang will be required to provide attacking options from the bench.

Predicted XI: Schmeichel; Schlupp, Trusty, Carter-Vickers, Johnston; McGregor, Hatate, Engels; Jota, Maeda, Kühn.

Meanwhile, Jérémie Pignard will operate as Fourth Official.
Video Assistant Referee duties will be completed by Willy Delajod with Benoît Millot assisting.

While a result is unlikely given the size and European pedigree of this Bayern squad, Celtic showed in the last game that they can compete with Kompany’s side.

Why have Celtic not made an effort to to have this match broadcast via Celtic T.V. or via some other live broadcast . Celtic Season Ticket holders , many of whom are elderly or partially disabled ; pay their money to the Celtic cause year after year and this helps to stabilise Celtic’s revenue even before the season has started .
So what , do Celtic do to reward these ” Faithful Souls ” when they reach the “Knock-out” stages of the Champions League ? They do nothing and leaved these elderly fans —-Some of whom have support Celtic for more than six decades to scurry about trying to find somewhere , where they can afford to watch the match .
Not good enough Celtic ; and back to the , ” Bad Old days ” when you treated your fans with total disdain ,took their money and didn’t even give them proper toilets to ” Piss-in ” . Small wonder some Celtic fans criticise :- Lawell , Nicholson & Co . for their lack of respect for their Loyal Fan base —-Shame on you Celtic , you havn’t a F**CK*** Clue !!!!!!
