Boxing Day boost as Sky One to show Celtic game after Hibs travel to Ibrox

Celtic supporters will be able to watch two potentially crucial fixtures in the race for the title this Saturday.  Sky Sports will show two crucial fixtures on Boxing Day for Scottish football fans as the Scottish Champions face Hamilton Accies away from home whilst Rangers host Hibernian at Ibrox.

The broadcasters will show the games on Sky One as Celtic will be hoping Jack Ross’ Hibs can do them a turn ahead of Neil Lennon’s team facing Hamilton Accies. The Accies are four points clear of the automatic relegation spot, which Ross County currently occupy. However, despite the standings, Hamilton are a notoriously tough team to visit. Celtic kick off at 3pm with Rangers starting at 12.30pm.

Celtic are currently sixteen points behind Rangers, despite having three games in hand. A win and a convincing one, would be the perfect preparation for the game at Ibrox on January 2. Celtic beat Ross County 2-0 at home last night, while Steven Gerrard’s side beat St Johnstone 3-0 in Perth.

Rangers have been impressive in the league so far this season but showed frailties in the defeat to St Mirren in the Betfred Cup. Celtic will be hoping that in either of their next two games, they can drop some points going into the mouthwatering clash between the pair at Ibrox.
