Breaking: Celtic confirm new positive case following Dubai trip

Neil Lennon has confirmed that one Celtic player has returned a positive test result in the latest round of testing after the ill-advised trip to Dubai. Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph has tweeted that the Scottish Champions had returned another positive result, which means that one player will not make Wednesday’s game against Livingston.

Christopher Jullien tested positive for COVID-19 and thankfully he is making a recovery from the virus. With the central defender testing positive, Neil Lennon and John Kennedy along with a core of the first team were ruled out.

Celtic have lost four points as a result of the ill-advised trip to the UAE with 13 players having to isolate upon arrival back in the UK when Jullien returned a positive test – meaning they’d miss the games against Hibs and Livi.

Peter Lawwell apologised to the supporters but maintained that they were right to go. The support feel as if this season has been one mistake after another with decisions being taken which have negatively impacted upon the club.

Celtic are currently 21 points behind Rangers, with 3 games in hand but face in-form Livingston at the notorious Tony Macaroni Stadium.
