“This is a car crash move for Stevie G,” former Celtic star

DAVIE PROVAN, in his newspaper column today, has a pop at Brendan Rodgers for his comments about the length of the grass at Tynecaste last Sunday.

He is also crucial of Hibs manager Neil Lennon for throwing his toys out of the pram after his side’s 2-1 defeat to Hearts on Wednesday.

However he saves the best for last by giving his opinion on Dave King’s comments this week about Celtic folding like a pack of cards and suggested that if this is all that King has to offer his new manager then it’s not going to end well for the Liverpool legend at Ibrox.

“So Dave King reckons Celtic could collapse like a pack of cards?” Provan asks.

“It made a decent soundbite but it wasn’t what Rangers supporters needed to hear.

“They were hoping King would name the heavyweight investor rumoured to be buying into Gers.

“Instead, only bluster and confirmation of another share issue which might raise £6million for Steven Gerrard’s war chest.

“Unless I’m missing something, this is a car crash move for Stevie G.”
