Carl Starfelt is a ‘Completed Deal’ as Celtic’s Right Back Targets named by transfer expect Fabrizio Romano

Celtic appear to have competed the deal to sign Swedish central defender Carl Starfelt from Rubin Kazan and are closing in Rennes full-back Brandon Soppy, while talks are also taking place with Royal Antwerp for their Portuguese right back Aurélio Buta – that is the latest news from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who was first to break the story that Celtic were targeting both Starfelt and Soppy.

Ange Postecoglou has identified positions that need immediate attention and these include right back, central defence and attacking wide players. The latter has been addressed with some style this week with the signing of both Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi .

The Celtic bound Japanese international opened the scoring in his farewell appearance this morning with the game still in progress….

The Swedish international centre half will clearly address that weakness in the Celtic squad particularly with Kris Ajer departing for Brentford in a £13.5m deal with additional add-ons.

Now a right back perhaps signing ahead of the Champions League opener against Midtjylland – who lost their opening match of the new season last night – see below.
