The sun was shining over Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon as we were treated to a cracking performance and result as we defeated third place Hibs 3-1 in an overall decent game of football…

Despite falling behind against the run of play Celtic showed great character and determination to storm into the lead just on the cusp of halftime courtesy of goals from Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah, with Reo Hatate adding a superb third in the second half to seal the victory.

Celtic played some superb football

Despite a couple of shaky moments we were more than worthy winners after controlling the game whilst producing some superb football at times in a game that was very pleasing on the eye.

Hibs had all to play for as they strive to consolidate third place and it showed as they tried to attack at every opportunity. It made for a pleasant change from the park the bus tactics often deployed by other sides who visit Celtic Park on league duty.

Celtic showed admirable determination

Celtic to their credit put on a spirited show despite the security of knowing the league title is well and truly in the bag, and looked very much a side determined to win the game.

Celtic can do Hibs a massive favour in midweek by beating Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Jimmy Thelin’s side, before worrying about facing the Champions, has theRangers to play on Sunday lunchtime in a game that’s live on Sky Sports.

If Aberdeen win that they will draw level with Hibs in the battle for third spot in the Scottish Premiership.

Next up Pittodrie and we’ll be there, we’re always there

With the Scottish Cup Final approaching it’s very reassuring to know that Brendan has his players are firing on all cylinders. Next up it Pittodrie on Wednesday night and we’ll be there to give the Bhoys a cheer.  And best of luck to our cup final opponents today.

I don’t know if I wat he’d the same game as you but Hibs had q1 men behind the ball the whole game. The only time they got up the park was when they hoofed the ball forward.
