Celtic aim brilliant dig at England with home kit teaser

Celtic have aimed a brilliant dig at England as they tease the club’s new home shirt. After weeks of very vocal calls of “It’s Coming Home”, English fans were left with egg on their face as Italy deservedly won on penalties. Now, the Celtic social media team have aimed a dig at the beaten Euro Finalists as they tease the announcement of the new home kit by Adidas.

Celtic’s Away and Third Kits have been released and have received generally good reviews – the Dark Green Away kit in particular. This home kit looks impressive and will likely sell well. Adidas have generally been impressive with all of their kit, now this new kit looks the real deal. Celtic need to match the style in the kits with impressive play after a poor season last year. It would also be nice to have some new signings in the door as we look to seal a place in The Champions League and regaining the League.

  1. A bit childish. Hunnish type stuff imo. The club is in disarray after last season, is a week away from a CL game and we have not an iota of who will take the field for us, but ha! we got a dig in at England .

    • It’s called banter. Hunninsh would be saying “ha ha f-u england” or some such.

Agreed we’re in disarray but…those new hoops that look like old 1980s hoops are magic and in all honesty if there was actually a fan merch boycott in place I’d scab it like buggery for one of those taps!

  2. Have to agree with Al. There are plenty of English supporting Celtic fans. I would expect better and I don’t really see the relevance tbh.

  3. I have to say, given last season I don’t think we have anything to shout about. England reached a final. We got howked in both cups and were dismal to say the least.
