Celtic confirm Dublin friendly versus Wolverhampton Wanderers

As we reported last night, Celtic will be heading to Dublin to face Wolverhampton Wanderers after the trip to Japan.

The club officially confirmed the news this morning that Celtic will be visiting Dublin, Ireland this July for an exciting pre-season game with English Premier League side, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Following the conclusion of the Hoops’ summer tour of Japan, Brendan Rodgers will take his team over the Irish Sea to face Wolves at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 29 July, with kick-off at 2pm, just as we reported.

Celtic enjoy huge support across Ireland and have previously visited the Irish National Team’s home stadium for matches in 2016, 2013 and 2011, playing the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool and Inter Milan.

It’s another opportunity for Celtic fans to gather in Dublin and see the Treble winners in action ahead of the new season and we are looking forward to another successful visit to the Aviva Stadium.

Tickets for the Wolverhampton Wanderers game will go on general sale at 9am on Thursday, 13 June.

In other news, Jacynta has signed for Sporting Club Portugal after announcing her departure from Celtic. Full story HERE.
