Celtic ended the year the way we started it, and that was to slip to defeat in the most diabolical fashion possible…
That defeat back in early January against theRangers could be easily forgiven such was our superior lead at the top of the table, but last night’s loss at Fir Park was totally inexcusable, and downright unforgivable. It was the worst I’ve seen us play all year, and there’s been a fair few bad ones to choose from.
Fair play to Motherwell, they deserved their victory and bossed us, they taught us a footballing lesson from the first to the last whistle, but the way this Celtic side folded was severely disappointing and embarrassing.
We looked very much like a side fighting for a place in top six, not a side fighting for the title. Champions? We look more like relegation fodder, and that’s not an exaggeration.
That’s of course down to the manager, Wilfried Nancy. His tactics are plainly not working, it’s evident to everyone but the Frenchman and his pride before a fall bosses led by Celtic incompetent CEO Michael Nicholson, the man who selected Wilfried Nancy as his first choice as the next Celtic manager after the shameful treatment dished out to Brendan Rodgers, a manage who had won 11 trophies from 13 as Celtic manager. Now teams know how to set up against us, they bully us, they exploit our weakness, which just now is in every single area of the pitch.
From the goalkeeper to the defence, the midfield, the forward line, every single player looks out of their depth. These are players with experience of winning trophies, European and international experience, yet they look like amateurs. Thats not an overreaction, thats the truth.
Nicholson has lost the Celtic support. Nancy too but he’s now lost the dressing room. Enough is enough and Callum McGregor now has to show leadership on behalf of the footballers and make their position known to the Celtic Board.
Make no mistake, theRangers no matter how poor they are at the moment will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing Celtic on Saturday, and that’s a measure of how far we’ve fallen If rock bottom Livingston can exploit our frailties, then you can bet your life that the Ibrox side will do likewise.
Wilfried Nancy is out of his depth, statistically he is the worst ever manager in Celtic’s history. A defeat on Saturday will only add to this sorry story. He is not qualified to be the Celtic manager and he was appointed by a man who is not qualified to be the Celtic CEO. Both Nancy and Nicholson have to go, and they have to go now.

All out of touch . Nicholson and his lying cronies in the boardroom can’t honestly think this kamikaze coach can take Celtic forward. Also the guy they’re being linked with from Preston has a shocking disciplinary record should be nowhere near Celtic, banned for biting an opponent and racially abusing another fellow player. Tisdale… I wouldn’t give him a job in the circus.
The board’s job is to accommodate Desmond not help the club. They are a shower of incompetent lackeys.
Our success has been in spite of them, not because of them.
The manager seems lost. He’ll have to go but they haven’t a clue about football matters, they might appoint someone even worse.
Nancy seems is living in a parallel universe and needs to go immediately. Martin O’Neill needs to be brought back before Saturday or the team is in for another pasting. Nicholson and Tisdale have to be sacked along with the French Russell Martin if the club is to recover and salvage anything from this woeful season. It is completely unacceptable that this Board can be allowed to sit back detatched and watch the garbage Nancy is offering up. They all have to be held accountable – the fans demand it.
No way will this incompetent clueless board admit they fucked up. Self presavation is the name of the game for these charalations.
Yes, I think you’re right. The arrogance of this Board is breathtaking. A shower of incompetents all helping each other up the greasy pole while the playing sqaud and the club’s reputation disintegrate under their watch. There ought to be a crime in the criminal code for what they’re doing to Celtic.
Why do you continue to try and defend Rodgers?
His own decision making had become rank rotten, and our players stopped buying into his methods, way before the summer window even opened imo?
A brief respite with the MoN and Maloney partnership, with a bit of passion restored back into our players, but mainly capable of digging out the results required?
Now back to a system that our players aren’t capable of producing within, and very little signs of them, even bothered to either imo?
Keeping want away players was always a dangerous game, for any club to play. Now it’s looking at ridiculous levels at present imo?
We only know of Maeda and Yang looking to leave?
Still suspect that it was a higher number in operation, and grown since then imo?
Players seeing the careers going nowhere with ourselves, is hardly going to attract the quality of player we are hoping for?
Don’t believe that to many managerial candidates, would be to interested in taking on the current situation, that exists within our playing squad either imo?
Certainly can’t see Nancy resolving such a situation, with his rank rotten decision making in place either?
Personally think Nancy might be better off, trying to pick a team for the Glasgow Derby, that consists of players, who actually want to play for ourselves?
Maybe even doubtful we could field a starting 11, that isn’t made up with a rake of academy players imo?
At least we would get a better indication of who actually wants to represent our jersey, as way to many have given up at present imo?
Having 8 players unavailable for last night, and again for the weekend, was always going to be a massive challenge to try and overcome for ourselves.
Even moreso, when most of them would possibly fit in to the system of play, far easier, than what was on show last night?
However, that doesn’t excuse the 16 players operating without any connection to what a manager is trying to apply?
So still a lack of connection between manager and players still exists, and possibly at the worst levels, that we have seen, throughout the best part of this calendar year imo?
Don’t believe now, that a Tisdale and Nancy partnership are going to resolve all the problems that exists within the playing squad?
Nicholson isn’t capable of trying to find solutions within the playing squad either?
Yet, numerous people within our club need to be removed, and allowed to leave, as part of the reset button has to be pressed sooner rather than later now?
Yet how can a reset button get pressed, with so many rank rotten decision makers in operation within our club?
