‘Celtic fans are amongst the best in the world,’ new Bhoy Oliver Burke

CELTIC’S latest signing Oliver Burke has started the process of getting to know his new team-mates at Celtic’s Winter training base in Dubai. This morning the 21 year old, on loan for 6 months from West Brom, has been speaking to the official website. Here’s what he’s had to say about his exciting move to Celtic.

“I’m really excited to be here at Celtic, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running, play as many games as I can, and help the team as much as I can as well.

“I’ll play wherever I’m asked to play.

“I’ll play wherever the gaffer wants me to and give my all every single time. Hopefully I can give everything that I have, and excite the fans.”

The Fifer first made a name for himself at Nottingham Forest and that earned him a big money move to our recent Europa League opponents RB Leipzig before West Brom paid £15million to bring him back to England.

Now Burke is looking forward to playing in front of the a full house at Celtic Park, especially on nights like next month’s mouth watering tie against Valencia.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing all the fans at the home game at Celtic Park.

“That’ll be interesting, I’ve never been before so I’m really excited for that. I’ve heard the European nights at Celtic Park, in particular, are amazing.

“I’ve heard all about the fans, and they’re considered amongst the best in the world. I’m really looking forward to it, and the Valencia game is obviously a massive occasion, which will be great to be a part of.”

The full interview with Celtic’s new Bhoy Oliver Burke will appear in the new edition of the Celtic View which comes out on Wednesday 9 January.
