Celtic hatch plan to keep young star at Parkhead by signing his brother on a free transfer

Nobody really likes it if a player is contracted to a club without it being deserved, but sometimes it’s worth paying a wage to a family member if it means you can keep a supreme talent around.

AC Milan have done it in the past by signing the brother of Kaka and Gigi Donnarumma, so could Celtic do something similar by having more than one Dembele at the club?

Karamoko’s older brother Siriki is currently excelling with Peterborough in League One, and a report from Give Me Sport has indicated that Celtic are considering a move to sign him – and that could also convince Karamoko to stay.

In fairness to Siriki he actually looks like a talented player and he could be a useful addition to the first team, while his contract is up in the summer so it wouldn’t take a fee either.

He’s not the biggest but he’s quick, he can take players on and he has an eye for goal, so there’s every reason to think he could push for a first team spot.

He’s scored seven times and added ten assists this season so there may also be other interest, but it doesn’t sound like he plans to sign a new contract with his current side.

Karamoko also finds himself in a tricky spot as he’s starting to get to the point where he needs to play senior football to continue his development, but he’s a huge talent and it would be gutting if he went somewhere else and became a star.

Siriki is still only 24 so he looks like he’s worth a punt, and if it helps to keep his brother around then it really is a no brainer.

  1. No, No, No should not be even contemplating such an idea, his brother is being built up as some super player, he is not, and as for young dembele, if he wants to go due to him supposidly being some some kind of superstar, let him go and remind him of the last so called superstar feruz, who has failed totally to make it.

  2. They should sell him he’s not the super star that some Celtic fans think he is and bringing his brother who is not wonting to sit on the bench .
