Celtic pair Kyogo and Kobayashi spotted sightseeing in Glasgow

Two of Celtic’s Japanese Bhoys, Kyogo Furuhashi and Yuki Kobayashi have been spotted sightseeing in Glasgow today. Kyogo will be no stranger to the city of course, having spent well over a year in Scotland now. He arrived last summer from Vissel Kobe and has taken the club and our city to his heart.

Accompanied with him in the snaps is new signing Yuki Kobayashi. Yuki, just like Kyogo, signed from Vissel Kobe in the J-League but won’t be able to make his bow until after the New Year in a green and white hooped shirt. Ange nabbed the promising young centre-back on freedom of contract and will be hoping he can mould another diamond from that rawness.

Kyogo will no doubt have been showing the new guy on the block around, as his surroundings will be totally alien to him. It’s great the 22-year-old has a contingent of fellow countrymen who all know what it is like being a stranger in a new city and culture. Hopefully Kyogo brings him up to speed with everything off the pitch so he can find his feet quickly.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
