Celtic are set to travel to Dubai after tomorrow’s game against Rangers at Ibrox. The Scottish Champions face Steven Gerrard’s side in crucial clash tomorrow after midday in a must-win game for Neil Lennon and the team’s hopes to win 10IAR.
In recent seasons, the trips to Dubai have acted as a catalyst for the push towards the title and Celtic will be making the trip regardless of the result this afternoon – according to The Sun.
Celtic have rescheduled next weekend’s game against Hibernian to next Monday in order to facilitate the trip to UAE. The move to do so enraged Hibs as they felt their objection to the rearrangement fell upon deaf ears.
Neil Lennon’s side won the last meeting at Ibrox in September 2019 with goals from Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes; however, Celtic have lost the last two games – both at Celtic Park.
A win at Ibrox would cut Rangers lead to 13 points, with Celtic having three games in hand over their opponents. A defeat would leave an enormous gap of 19 points and even if Celtic were to win the games in hand, they would still require a huge slip up from Rangers in order to seal 10IAR.
