John Paul Taylor this morning has released some “important information for Budapest” for the Celtic Supporters wishing to travel to the away Europa League match in Hungary against Ferencvaros.
“Important Info for Budapest: Being advised that a UK NHS Vaccination Certificate and/or a negative PCR Test will not be accepted to gain access to the Stadium, this has been decided by the local authority. Will update with further details when we have them,” the Celtic SLO stated.
A response from a Celtic fan on this update was also answered by John Paul Taylor. “I suppose it’s not saying we won’t get in, just that UK certification won’t be accepted. I imagine what they’ll do is make us pay a healthy sum for a Hungarian test or get an EU certificate,” Celtic fan Sean commented. And the reply from the Celtic SLO: “Don’t think so Sean, think it’s no entry I’m afraid”.
There’s still the possibility that Irish Celtic Supporters and those living on mainland Europe will be able to attend the away game against Ferencvaros but for Brexit Britain we’re going to be locked out of this one.
Some Celtic fans travelled to Seville even though the local authorities had decreed that the away support could not attend the Group stages opener in the Europa League between Real Betis and Celtic. The Celtic fans gathered outside the stadium to cheer the team on their arrival.
