David Turnbull has taken to social media to update fans over his comeback from injury after a failed medical derailed his move to Celtic in the summer.
Neil Lennon’s Celtic had the Motherwell youngster at the top of their wish-list over the summer; however, prolonged negotiations and public statements nearly threatened to collapse the move but both parties eventually came to an agreement over the £3.25m transfer.
But it wasn’t to be, Turnbull failed a medical on the grounds of an unknown knee injury – meaning the move was off and he faced months on the sidelines due to surgery.
Now, Turnbull has come out claiming that he will be ‘back stronger for sure’ via Twitter.
Getting there👊🏼Will be back stronger for sure!💪🏼⚽️ https://t.co/bwLFkW1R2Y

Turnbull will be hoping to recapture the form that saw him win Young Player of the Year resulting in Celtic interested in signing the player. Turnbull will be confident of regaining his form at Motherwell, which could potentially manifest itself into a Celtic move in the future – especially with Neil Lennon being an admirer of the 20-year-old.
