Celtic Surpass Last Season’s Goal Tally

If you’ve been reading The Celtic Star in recent weeks then you will be well aware that Celtic have scored the most goals in Europe and also have the healthiest goal difference on the continent. It was another good win against Clyde for the Hoops yesterday, who complemented their three goals with another clean sheet.

Olivier Ntcham opened the scoring with a fine strike from outside the box, before Scott Brown turned home a corner from close range. Bayo’s late strike netted Celtic’s third of the afternoon. However, the goal was also the 122nd of the campaign for Celtic, surpassing the club’s 121 goals scored last season! This stat is even more remarkable when you consider that Celtic still have at least 16 games left to play, with 13 league matches, the Scottish Cup quarter-final and both legs of the Europa League Last 32.
