Projected ties look tough but winnable as Celtic look likely to be unseeded in the Champions League Play-off in August…

According to the reliable Football Rankings account on X, Celtic will be in the in the unseeded list of teams for the champions league play off tie in August.

Celtic will of course be in the route of Champions and will only have to negotiate one round to reach the holy grail that is the UEFA Champions League group stage for the fourth year in succession. But we are currently unseeded and our list of opponents includes the likes of Dinamo Zagreb, Bodo/Glint, FC Copenhagen, Red Star and Ferencvaros.
Names that are likely to send a chill down the spine of our supporters
Names that are likely to send a chill down the spine of our supporters, and whilst either one of the sides will offer a tough challenge, it’s not exactly impossible. Every single tie is winnable despite what the history books might tell us.
Sure they are all good sides, but we are also a decent team ourselves as we proved in this year’s group stage where we more than held our own. This is the stage where the players want to be after sampling it for the past few years and that will give them the extra motivation to get through the play offs.

We will also hopefully have strengthened the squad by then and everyone will be raring to go. Let’s not worry about other teams, let them worry about ourselves and hopefully the Board will have learned their lessons from previous summers where we have had Champions League qualifiers to negotiate.
All that waiting to see if we qualify before signing players nonsense is not on
All that waiting to see if we qualify before signing players nonsense is not on. Brendan Rodgers won’t stand for and this time neither will the support. Again we’ve all got bad memories against just about every team listed above of losing ties we should have won.

There is now too much as stake. Get busy at the start of the transfer window and not at the end has to be the message the Board takes heed of. Will they or won’t they? We’ll have to wait and see.

Poor headline. Several things would need to happen for Celtic to be unseeded. The odds are heavily stacked in favour of us being seeded though.
UEFA are a corrupt organisation you can’t call this competition the champions league when you have 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th places from England and Spain going straight into the group stages so countries who’s teams are having to play in play off rounds should get together and take UEFA to court. What’s the point of trying to win your league when UEFA don’t want you in the top European club tournament.
eff off with this fear nonsense
