Celtic v Aberdeen – Kevin Clancy confirmed as referee

Celtic face Aberdeen on Sunday at Paradise with Ange Postecoglou’s side looking to bounce back from a disheartening late loss to Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday night. However, Celtic cannot dwell on what could have been in Germany, there is the small matter of the visitors from the North East to contend with and they certainly will not be an easy opponent.

The SFA have confirmed the refereeing team for the game with Kevin Clancy named as the man in the middle. He is assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Sean Carr, with Steven McLean as the Fourth Official.

Clancy has officiated two games for Celtic this season; although, neither have resulted in wins with Celtic losing to Rangers at Ibrox and then being held 1-1 by Dundee United.

Celtic picked up an injury concern in Germany with Nir Bitton being forced off with a head knock. However, Ange will be able to call upon Tom Rogic, who missed the Europa League as a precaution. Celtic won the first meeting of the two sides at the beginning of October thanks to goals from Kyogo and Jota. Since then, Celtic have really sparked under Ange.
