Celtic v Ferencvaros: team news, kick off time and where to watch

Celtic face Ferencvaros this afternoon on Matchday 3 of the Europa League. The Celts recorded a comfortable 2-0 win against Motherwell at the weekend but the picture looks considerably different in Europe with two defeats from the opening two games against Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen. Despite some impressive performances, Celtic counted the cost of poor defending and not taking chances in front of goal.

Team News

Celtic have been able to welcome central defender Christopher Jullien back to first team training but the Frenchman is likely a way away from being match fit to start. Jullien and James Forrest are back training but Mikey Johnston is now available this afternoon after a spell out. The winger will add some much needed depth in the wide areas for Ange. Croatian full-back Josip Juranovic won’t make the trip with it coming too soon after his hamstring strain against Dundee United. Boil Bolingoli started at Fir Park but he wasn’t signed up meaning that Ange will need to call upon another option at left back, either Liam Scales or retutning Adam Montgomery.

There were no fresh injury concerns for the manager, arising from the win over Motherwell on Saturday.

Predicted XI: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Montgomery; McGregor, Rogic, Turnbull; Abada, Kyogo, Jota.

Kick Off Time

The game kicks off at the bizarre time of 3.30pm (Celtic Park Time). This is due to Police Scotland being unable to effectively police the game due to the upcoming COP26 Conference in Glasgow.

Where to Watch

The game will be shown on BT Sport 1 with coverage starting at 3pm.
