Celtic v Hibernian: Willie Collum to referee Monday night’s clash

Celtic will return to action on Monday after the winter break welcoming Shaun Maloney’s Hibernian. The Scottish Football Association have confirmed that Willie Collum will take charge of the game under the lights at Paradise on Monday night.

Collum will be accompanied by Frank Connor and Gary Hilland, who are working as Assistant Referees with Craig Napier serving as Fourth Official.

Collum last officiated Celtic in the 2-0 win at Fir Park; however, he was actually subbed off after picking up an injury. Chris Fordyce stepped in for Collum, in what has been his only game officiating Celtic this year.

The Monday night football will kick off at 7:45pm with Celtic welcoming back a number of players that were missing back in December, as well as new signings from J-League Hatate, Maeda and Ideguchi.

The game will be the first game after the winter break as Ange Postecoglou’s side look to get back to business in the league. Celtic currently trail leaders Rangers by six points but will face up in the Glasgow Derby on 2 February.
