Celtic v Inverness CT: Hampden Allocations revealed with major boost for Hoops

Celtic face Inverness CT in the Scottish Cup Final on the 3rd June 2023. Ange Postecoglou’s side sealed their progression to the showpiece Final at the beginning of June thanks to a win over Rangers on Sunday whilst the Highlanders beat Falkirk 3-0 in Saturday’s other match.

Now, a report from the Scottish Sun has revealed the allocations for the game and it is pleasing for Hoops fans with nearly 40,000 supporters expected in the Celtic End. The report states that Inverness are expected to be handed 8,000 tickets of the 51,000-capacity National Stadium.

Caley Thistle brought just 4,000 down to Glasgow for the early kick-off against Falkirk. However, that is expected to double for the Final with the Championship side expected to have an option to receive 2,000 more should they sell out quickly. This would effectively set 10,000 aside for the Inverness supporters leaving the vast majority for Celtic fans.

This is a major boost for Home Cut Ticket Scheme fans who are used to now nervously checking their emails to see whether they are eligible for matches. Effectively, all members should qualify for a brief for the Final as Ange’s team chase a historic Treble.

There are discussions about the match’s kick-off time with an early kick-off muted to accommodate the English FA Cup Final at Wembley. This is an affront to our game and should be opposed not least because fans of both teams require to travel some distance for the match.
