Celtic v St Mirren: team news, match officials, KO time & where to watch

Celtic face St Mirren in the first home game since winning the Premiership title at Tynecastle. Thirteen days ago, Ange Postecoglou’s side beat Hearts thanks to second-half goals from Kyogo and Oh. Now, the Celtic manager will be able to mark the league title by looking to put on a show against St Mirren.

Stephen Robinson’s side will not give the Scottish Champions a guard of honour in a pitiful, albeit unsurprising, act of spite. Therefore, it will be good to see Celtic come out and go for the visitors from Paisley, especially with the disappointment of last weekend in mind.

Team News

Ange goes into the game without Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston. The defensive duo were big misses in the dead rubber defeat last weekend. James Forrest was on the bench for that game and will be hoping to get on the pitch.

In goals, Joe Hart will continue. Expect one change in the back line with Greg Taylor returning in place of Alexandro Bernabei. Starfelt, Kobayashi and Ralston will all continue. Expect the same middle three to start, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley. In attack, Kyogo will be restored to the starting XI along with Daizen Maeda and Jota.

Predicted XI: Hart; Ralston, Starfelt, Kobayashi, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate; Maeda, Kyogo, Jota.

Match Officials

David Munro is the referee for this afternoon’s clash. Ross Macleod and David Doig assist Munro with Mike Roncone acting as Fourth Official. At Clydesdale House, Steven Kirkland is on VAR duties with Andrew McWilliam acting as AVAR.

Kick Off Time

The game kicks off at 3pm (Celtic Park time).

Where to Watch

A capacity crowd is expected with tickets selling out for the match. The game will be shown on Celtic TV for subscribers outside Britain and Ireland.
