Celtic youngster makes immediate impact with loan club

KERR MCINROY scored two goals on his debut for Dunfermline Athletic yesterday as the versatile midfielder came from the bench to net twice. Playing against Edinburgh side Spartans in a friendly, the highly rated Celtic man scored two of the Pars goals in a 3-0 win.

The second half brace came just hours after he was announced on a season-long loan from the Scottish Champions. The 20-year-old, who plays as a defensive midfielder, central defender and left back, will be hoping to showcase his talents in the Scottish Championship.

McInroy was on the bench for the win over Motherwell; however, he left the club on a temporary basis in the hunt of first team football with Stevie Crawford’s side.

McInroy turned out in pre-season as a left back and now his departure means that Greg Taylor is the only player in that position at the club. This means that the manager and recruitment team need to address this in a timely manner.

The Championship is expected to begin on 17 October with the Pars hosting Inverness CT, which will be a grudge match after their war of words back in April/May regarding the end of the league season.

A brilliant start to his loan move, well done Kerr!
