Celtic’s Liam Scales gets Ireland call up for World Cup matches against Azerbaijan and Serbia

Celtic new Bhoy Liam Scales has today been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming games against Azerbaijan and Serbia,  the Irish FA have announced.

In a Squad Update posted today the Irish FA confirmed three players have been called up with Callum Robinson, Alan Browne and Liam Scales all joining the squad for the Azerbaijan and Serbia matches. Both Dara O’Shea and Nathan Collins will miss out through injury.

It’s been quite a week for Scales having played his last game for Shamrock Rovers in the Europa Conference qualifier again Flora Tallinn before saying his emotional goodbyes ahead of his £600,000 move to Celtic – which you read about first on The Celtic Star. Scales has impressed in training so far at Lennoxtown – see below for evidence on that as poor old Ismaila Soro is left dazed and confused as the Irish Bhoy scores an absolute beauty….
