Odin Thiago Holm has found it tough since moving to Los Angeles FC on loan from Celtic and is still awaiting his debut in the United States…

The midfielder joined the MLS club on a loan deal until the end of the year, after being on the outskirts of Brendan Rodgers’ squad during the first half of the season. He featured three times for Celtic this season before moving to LAFC, who are currently in fifth place in the MLS Western Conference after three matches.
Holm is still awaiting his senior debut at Los Angeles FC
Holm is still awaiting his senior debut for Steven Cherundolo’s side due to suffering an ankle injury. Although he was anticipated to return earlier this month, the Norwegian prospect continues to be sidelined.

In the summer of 2023, the 22-year-old signed with Celtic for £2.5m transferring from Valerenga. He was the first new player to arrive after Brendan Rodgers sensational return to Paradise, although the Irishman had very little to do with this and all the other signings in that transfer window.
Holm named in shortlist for the coveted Golden Boy award in 2023
In 2023, Holm was included in a 100-player shortlist for the coveted Golden Boy award, but he failed to make the most of his chance with the Scottish champions. He is expected to return to Celtic once the MLS season concludes at the end of the year.

It remains to be seen whether there is still a future for Holm in Glasgow, but he will need to impress at LAFC in order to change the mind of Brendan Rodgers.
Fitness concerns a constant theme
There clearly seems to be a fitness problem with the young Norwegian and you must start to question whether he is robust enough to realise all his potential properly in the game. Celtic haven’t see much of it at all and it now looks like the same thing is happening over on the West Coast of the USA.
