Confirmed – Celtic to play Wolves at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday 29 July

After both clubs pulled out of their trip to South Korea amid ongoing problems with the tour promoter, Celtic and English Premier League side Wolves how swapped continents to find a suitable alternative and now the two sides will play their summer friendly match in Dublin on Saturday 29 July as widely rumoured.

The Herald this evening has confirmed that the match will now take place in Dublin and will be played at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 29 July and has a kick-off of 2pm, and tickets are now on sale via Ticketmaster.

Brendan Rodgers currently has his side working in the intense heat in Portugal where the players are going through double training sessions each day. There are a few bounce games too before the squad departure, destination Japan for what looks like two incredible matches in the homeland of Kygo, Hatate, Maeda and co.

Then it’s over to Dublin for the re-arranged game against Wolves before Celtic take on Athletic Club at Celtic Park for the James Forrest Testimonial. It will also mark the return to Paradise for manager Brendan Rodgers.
