Copenhagen STHs pay £22 each and 21k tickets already sold for Celtic visit

WHILE CELTIC season ticket holders have this morning discovered the ticket price for the second leg of the Europa League knock-out round against Copenhagen will be £37, the Danish season ticket holders are paying just £22 for the visit of the Scottish Champions and they’ve already sold over 20,000 tickets on the first day on sale!

Celtic’s travelling army will take as many tickets as they can get their hands on for the game in Copenhagen at the 38,000 capacity Parken Stadium but it looks like the home support will be taking their full allocation which will inevitably restrict the numbers of Hoops fans who will be at this game.

Copenhagen officials have been left stunned at the huge level of interest in seeing their team play Celtic after their season ticket holders rushed to snap up tickets in unprecedented numbers as soon as they were put on sale.

“Due to the very high demand for tickets, it is highly unlikely tickets will now go on a public sale and will only be available to fans registered with the club,” a Copenhagen official stated to the Media, as reported by Scottish Sun.

Copenhagen are charging their season ticket holders just £22 with prices rising to £80 for the Danish fat cats. The away end tickets are likely to be much more expensive for the Celtic support and the Copenhagen fans travelling to Glasgow will not be watching the second leg for the bargain price of £22. They’ll be paying around double that price to see the 2nd leg.
